2008 Dues

Your Board of Directors set the Association at $210.00 per year. The Restrictive Covenants provide, "the dues shall become due on January 1st of each year." The dues become delinquent on February 1st.

It is not a very pleasant subject but one with which your Board has had to deal with...delinquent dues collection. Letters are sent, phone calls are made and when it becomes necessary...the lawyer is contacted. To be sure, when the lawyer is contacted, the Covenants language is clear...the Association has the right to file a Lien against the property or take such legal steps as necessary to collect said delinquent dues and all costs of collection will be the responsibility of the lot owner. Hence, if the dues are collected through the use of an attorney all of those collection fees will be added to the delinquent dues and paid by the lot owner.

Annexation

As you may or may not know, our area has been targeted for Annexation by the City of Memphis. At present, that Annexation effort by the City is on hold. The reason, several members of your Association formed a group and raised the needed funds to hire an attorney to plead our case opposing Annexation.

Presently, a lawsuit has been filed and the suit is progressing. The lawsuit is in its early stages and has not yet seen a court date set.
