Architectural Review

The following items and like changes should be submitted to the Architectural Committee for approval:

  • Additions to the structure
  • Installation of a pool
  • Installation of a new roof
  • Repainting of the exterior
  • Installation of a fence
  • Any construction on the property

When your Builder built your home, he had to submit his plan and specifications to the Architectural Review Committee as provided for in the Restrictive Covenants. That review committee assessed the plans and specs to assure they met the standards set forth in the Covenants. If the plans or specs did not comply, the Builder had to make the necessary changes or corrections to meet the standards or cease construction until the Review Committee granted compliance.

The Covenants call for all proposed changes to be submitted in writing to the Architectural Review Committee prior to commencement of said changes. If such changes are made without the prior approval for the Committee and the improvements are found to be in violation of the Covenants, the Covenants provide for the removal of the alteration so as to remove the violation. The Covenants are abundantly clear about the Architectural Review Committee and it would serve each homeowner well to take a couple of minutes to read and understand the goals and objectives of Your Architectural Review Committee.
